The homeschooling debate...

There is a poll now on facebook about keeping homeschooling legal or not.For those of you who do not know, I was homeschooled for 5 years. Seeing this poll and the comments that people are writing about it really is annoying me. The world is being run by scare tactics. God will not allow homeschooling to become illegal in our country. It has been doing way too much good. I'm not going to worry about it.We need to stop feeding into the scare tactics because then they win. Lets just keep praying and trusting in God. It makes no sense anyways to ban homeschooling. The homeschoolers performance is so great that it just wouldn't make any sense at all to stop something that is obviously effective. The test scores and the number of homeschoolers that are winning in national spelling bees and such proves this. As far as those who are against homeschooling goes... The only excuse that they have is that homeschooling parents do not have to have a degree but school teachers do. That excuse is useless though because to teach other people's kids, you should be required to have a degree because there has to be some sort of standard because there would be too much room for arguing. People want qualifications when it comes to their kids, or so they say. They will question what makes them qualified to teach THEIR children, basically because they are theirs. Well for the homeschooling families, those parents have the qualification to teach THEIR children because they are theirs. For those on the opposing side of the homeschooling debate. Just get over it. It's working. Stop trying to take people's families away. Soon enough they are going to be out in the world anyways. At least let them learn effectively and be better prepared for it. Stop trying to act like you really care. You're entitled to your own opinion as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else. Is homeschooling really hurting you? It's not. Before you open your mouth about it, try talking to someone who is/was homeschooled or a parent who has homeschooled. Too many times people run their mouth off about things that they really do not understand. Just stop. It's not intelligent to do so. Be a good example for the children!
